Since the opening of the very first Quarks store in 1977, it was the intention of Quark's to offer great service along with famous brand footwear. More than 30 years later, not much has changed. We work hard to hire friendly, bubbly people who love customer service. Together with the strong relationship we have established with our suppliers, that dream has come true

Currently there are 15 Quarks stores strategically placed throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta that cater to baby boomers, seniors, and professionals of all ages. Although many things have changed throughout the years, the basic philosophy hasn't. The goal of the company is to provide excellent service, and comfortable footwear that fits the way it should, looks great and wears well.

In 1992, Doug Quark left the supervision of the flagship Quarks store in Polo Park Shopping Centre to open the first Urban Trail location, also in Polo Park Shopping Centre. The first Urban Trail store carried similar brands to Quarks, but catered more to the active, urban, outdoor lifestyle. Urban Trail's product lines provide a balanced mix of both technical and lifestyle footwear, clothing and accessories, designed to take the customer from the trails to the city in both style and comfort. Product names like Merrell, The North Face, and Smart Wool have become synonymous with Urban Trail.

Today there are five Urban Trail locations throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan, in addition to two combination Quarks/Urban Trail stores.

West Point is the most recent addition to The Quark Group, with the first store having opened in 1998. West Point offers the same comfortable fitting, brand name footwear that Quarks' customers have come to know and expect. In addition, West Point boasts dressier, more fashion-forward styles from brands such as Ugg, Indigo, Clarks, Merrell, to create the perfect mix of quality and style. West Point has generated a following of loyal customers who appreciate the selection of footwear West Point's buyers continually put together. Although West Point's styles and selection varies from the Quarks stores, customers will still be greeted by friendly, knowledgeable staff that are always ready to serve.

Currently there are 2 West Point locations located in Polo Park Shopping Center and the St. Vital Centre in Winnipeg
