Quarks & Urban Trail, in partnership with Skechers and the Winnipeg Goldeyes are proud to announce the launch of a new donation program Quarks Cares, an initiative encouraging Winnipeg Goldeyes fans to collect and donate footwear to Winnipeggers in need.
During the 2016 Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball season, fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used footwear to donate. Donation bins will be set up at all three main entrances to Shaw Park.
“Quarks, Urban Trail, and Skechers are extremely happy and pleased to launch the ‘Quarks Cares’ shoe donation program,” said Doug Quark, Senior Vice President of the Quark Group. “The footwear will be collected and distributed to those in need within our great City of Winnipeg. Let’s spread the word, and fill the bins at every Goldeyes’ home game, so that no one goes without shoes this year!”
“We are very excited about this new initiative,” said Goldeyes’ general manager Andrew Collier. “This is a very unique and worthy cause, and we are grateful for having the opportunity to help those in need.”
